logo_feuille Responsible Care & Sustainable Development :

Instituted in 1985 by the Chemistry Industry Association of Canada (CIAC), the Responsible Care ethic is designed to improve the chemical industry’s performance. This initiative is now recognised around the world and is evidence of CIAC member companies desire to «do the right thing and be seen to do the right thing».

Responsible Care codes of practice aim to constantly improve all aspects of a company’s performance in terms of health, safety and the environment. The program also ensures that companies clearly communicate their activities and achievements, and thus address the concerns of the public at large as well as those of outside partners.

The staff at SJPC is wholly committed to the principles of Responsible Care throughout our products life cycle: manufacture, distribution, storage, use and disposal. No process is authorized unless a product impact study on the environment, the health and safety of the employees and the public is done. SJPC conducts frequent verifications of its methods to ensure that it is effectively realizing its commitment to the community, its staff and the environment.
