The goal at SJPC is to produce chemicals while respecting environmental standards. To accomplish this, the company has developed safe working methods to minimize or eliminate the hazards associated with its operations by giving employees the necessary training, information and protective equipment. In co-operation with employees, the company has developed and implemented a prevention program designed to do the following:

This prevention program is part of the company's involvement with a prevention mutual group of chemical companies, a group governed by the Quebec Occupational Health and Safety Commission (CSST), the Act Respecting Industrial Accidents and Occupational Diseases and the Act Respecting Occupational Health and Safety.

At St-Jean Photochemicals Inc., responsibility for health, safety and the environment lies with both individuals and the company as a whole. Each and every employee supports and actively participates in these efforts, ensuring the company an excellent health and safety record.
